Living up to its promise of ‘cold beer, warm welcome’, The Shakespeare, owned by musician and writer Peter Edgerton, recreates a British pub atmosphere in the heart of the city centre. On tap are ale, lager and Guinness plus there’s a selection of wine and spirits. But as well as the drinking, this cosy venue is about entertainment – enjoy live music, open mic and bilingual pub quizzes plus sports on the TV.
