Mar de Verum
This fish and seafood restaurant sits high up in Cerrado de Calderón so you’ll need a taxi there and back, but the journey is more than worth it. Chef Jorge Berzosa personally oversees the selection of the day, which includes the best catches from Malaga and Spain’s Atlantic shores. Wild bluefin tuna is also available.
Like its sister restaurant, Mar de Verum specialises in chargrilled meat options, so there’s also plenty on the menu for those who fancy a change from fish or seafood, or like to vary their lunch or dinner choices.
The wine list runs long – take the sommelier’s advice on pairing options.
Dine inside in an airy and chic-casual space or outside on the lovely terrace that attracts the sunshine in the winter and sits in the shade in the summer.
